Zachary Adam Ertz was born on November 10, 1990. He is an American football tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2013 NFL draft. Ertz played college football at Stanford, where he was recognized as a unanimous All-American.

As a senior, he had 56 receptions, 756 receiving yards, and 14 receiving touchdowns for the football team and was named to the All-East Bay Athletic League first team.
